Trump’s Education Minister Nominee Gets Brutally Trolled For Her Grammatically Incorrect Tweet

Published on 23 January, 2017 at 9:40 am By

US President Donald Trump took over as the 45th President of United States on January 20 and it seems that it might not be a start that he was looking for.

Since the time Trump has taken over as the president, Twitter has been bombarded with one controversy of the other.

While initially his new twitter account was accused of stealing a picture from Obama’s inauguration ceremony, later people slammed Twitter itself for forcing them to follow his account when they had chosen not to.

It now seems even his chosen secretaries have not been spared as just few hours after the ceremony, Betsy DeVos was slammed on Twitter for sending out an grammatically incorrect tweet.

The situation would not have been this worse had Betsy not been nominated as United States Secretary of “Education”.

DeVos is an American businesswoman, philanthropist, and education activist but over the past few weeks, she has already been facing a lot of backlash for her nomination as she has got no background in the field of education, and couldn’t even answer few straight forward question at her confirmation hearing.

Among the questions that Besty didn’t answer where her contribution to the Republican Party, her billionaire status, her thoughts on the LGBT community and the biggest of all if she thought guns should be banned from schools.

The last one even had sent shockwaves as DeVos had vaguely said,

“That is best left (for) locals and states to decide.”

If that was not bad enough, when she was probed further on the question, she pointed out to an isolated case where a gun was kept in a school as protection from “potential grizzlies”.

No wonder Twitterati slammed her for her for her “historical” tweet, marking it in red pen and reminding her or Grizzly bears.

DeVos later deleted her tweet and “replaced” it with a corrected version while blaming it to her clerical staff.
