Within hours after woman of Belgian origin lodged a complaint against an Ola cab driver, the Delhi Police have arrested the driver for his behavior.
The cab driver was identified as Raj Singh, who hails from Alwar, Rajasthan.
Following the complaint, an FIR was lodged against him. And soon after, Ola also terminated his contract.
The Belgian woman identified herself as a language translator. She told the police that she had booked the cab from Gurgaon on May 7 and during the journey the cab driver allegedly kissed her and deliberately took a wrong route after Hauz Khas.
The driver is said to have called her over to the front seat of the car claiming that his GPS was not working and then allegedly kissed her.
When the woman protested and threatened to call her friend, he snatched her phone and deleted all the records that were related to Ola.
She told the police that she got off the cab near C R Park area and informed the local police about the incident at around 10 pm.
She has been residing in India since February 2016 and is supposed to return to Belgium tonight on May 8.
Ola also said that ‘they will share all required information with the authorities to help resolve this for the customer.’
