The makers of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ are experimenting with a new theme and this time their film revolves around the situation of power supply in the country. ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ looks promising with Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in lead roles. The film’s trailer was recently released and has been getting applaud on the social media. However, it looks like Shahid Kapoor has now decided to walk on Akshay Kumar’s path, by doing a film related to social issues.

In the trailer of the film, Shahid Kapoor can be seen using two words in particular – Thehra and Bal. However, do you know that these words hold a special meaning?

In almost every dialogue in the trailer of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, words ‘thehra’ and ‘bal’ have been used quite too often. This has left us questioning their purpose of usage! Let us tell you that the word ‘bal’ is used in Garhwali language. On the other hand the word ‘thehra’ is used in Kumaoni language.

However, with half baked information, Shahid Kapoor can be seen using these two words, and their meanings appear to be wrongly projected in the dialogues. Even the accent sounds fake!

The dialogues of the film are written by Siddharth-Garima. The film is highlighting the problem of electricity theft in India. The film depicts a small town of Uttrakhand. Shree Narayan Singh has tried to highlight the issue by interlinking it with friendship.
