In a humorous or surprising (or may be stupid) act by the Chhattisgarh government, a written warning was issued to Bastar Collector Amit Katariya after he failed to wear customary uniform when he received Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit, reports The Indian Express.

Amit, who wore a blue shirt and had sunglasses on when he received PM Modi was given a ‘confidential’ letter which said: “It has come to the notice of the administration that you did not wear the appropriate customary uniform, instead had sunglasses on when you received the PM.”

The notice further said that the state government is giving a warning to not repeat “any such act” in the future.

The government did not spare even Dantewada Collector KC Devsenapati, who wore a white shirt and looked fairly obedient. He was also slapped with the same notice that his conduct “violated Service Rules”, was “unbecoming of an officer”. But the notice did not specify what exactly was objectionable in his dress code.
