We all remember how Baba Ramdev few months had donned soccer shoes and played a friendly match of football in Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
While it’s still hard to get the image of him playing football out of our head, he is now set to take on the next sport and wrestle an international Olympic medalist for a friendly match.
The match will take place on January 18 evening between the two semi-final matches of the ongoing Pro Wrestling League.
Baba Ramdev had recently challenged 2008 Olympic silver medalist Andrey Stadnik for a wrestling bout.
Though this match would be a friendly one, Baba Ramdev is not taking it lightly and said that he has already started exercising to build stamina and is visiting akharas in Delhi to study wrestling.
Though this is not Ramdev’s first attempt at the sport, last year he had also taken on India’s star wrestler Sushil Kumar for a friendly match.
“I have fought bouts with national level wrestlers. But playing against an internationally renowned player will be more exciting. You will witness the real power of Yoga in this match.”
Andrey was initially surprised to learn about the challenge, but when he got to know more about Baba Ramdev and his preparations, he said he would fight with all his strength to make it more interesting.
