Love him or hate him, you just can’t ignore him. When it comes to cricketers in the India who can’t be ignored, Gautam Gambhir’s name tops the list. Also called the ‘angry young man’ of the Indian team, Gambhir has proved his worth during his heydays through a lot of aggression in his game. And later, he became one of the most sought after cricketers in the team.
Gautam Gambhir has remained a major contributor to the Indian cricket team for a long time now. It is believed that Gambhir takes his work very seriously and always knows what is good for him. Sometimes he even takes decisions which may not be good for others but beneficial for him.
His recent decision to step down as the captain of the Delhi Daredevils team in the ongoing IPL season is being appreciated and contemplated in the cricket world.
Most of the opinions that are pouring in after Gambhir’s decision are positive only. However, there are a few people who always find the worst in such situations.
As Gambhir took full responsibility to step down as the captain. He tweeted:
True, that I’ve stepped down from DD captaincy. Just to clarify it was my call, nothing from the management or coaching staff. I may not be leading from the front but I will be the last man standing for @DelhiDaredevils. No individual bigger than d team. Very much a #DilDIlliAdvertisement

Following that up, the Delhi cricketer then earned respect after dining with the families of CRPF jawans who gave up their life for the country during the Sukma attack last year. Gambhir was quoted saying, “Merely boycotting cricketing ties with Pakistan will not help. If a ban is imposed, it should be in all sectors, be it films, music or any other. Nobody from Pakistan should be provided an opportunity to perform in India unless the relations between the two neighbors improve.”
Soon after this, an Australian journalist tried to take a dig at Gambhir by posting a very negative tweet about him.
Take a look below at what this Australian journalist tweeted.
Gautam Gambhir is a verbal terrorist.
The crap he said again today re relationship between India / Pakistan is dangerous.

This was the same man who earlier called Virat Kohli as sweeper. In no time the man was trolled by Gambhir fans!
Lol, in 1965 we won 1900 sq km area and pak won 500 sq km. And go and see paki’s exaggerated claims of indian casualty vs indian claims. Shuru se pakis propoganda expert hai. Indians bhi fekte hai but pakis se bahut kam.
