In a brilliant move to improve education, the Assam Government has decided to integrate Madrassas into Secondary Education Directorate.

On May 9, Assam education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted two tweets informing that the Madrassa Education Board will be disbanded.

Many on Twitter, quite expectedly, appreciated the move:

Given that India’s pseudo Liberal-Seculars in the media, the Universities and political parties always find fault with anything the BJP government does, especially with regard to minorities, it was expected that they would criticize this decision as well.

One of the major reasons why we have not yet come across any criticism from psuedo-seculars is the fact that the move has been overwhelmingly welcomed by Muslims themselves.

They also gave a few suggestions to make the education system more efficient.

And proving that the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s government is genuinely interested in making education modern, the state education ministry has also disbanded controlling board of Sanskrit tols.

Speaking in the state assembly, Sarma reportedly said:

“We want to introduce modern learning like computers in these educational institutes. For doing this, we have to change the existing structure.”

He said that Sanskrit tols will now be overseen by Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit & Ancient Studies University.
