Ashwin Takes A Dig At The Australian Team After Brad Hodge Apologizes For Making Fun Of Virat Kohli’s Injury

Ravichandran Ashwin took a dig at former Australia batsman and Gujarat Lions coach Brad Hodge after he apologized for making fun of Indian skipper, Virat Kohli’s injury.

Hodge was forced to apologize after facing a huge backlash on social media when he claimed that the India captain opted out of Dharamsala Test match to keep himself fit for the cash-rich IPL. He said,

You would hope as a sportsman that he’s seriously injured. Because if you miss one game of Test match cricket and you’re fronting up the next week for RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) versus whoever… you’d be pretty dirty if he didn’t front up to a Test match and try and win a valuable series against Australia.

 

 In order to control the situation, Hodge released a public apology on Twitter. This is what he wrote after maligning India’s most popular cricket icon.

Ashwin didn’t take anybody’s name but his sarcastic tweet made it clear that it was for Hodge. Take a look at Ashwin’s tweet:
