Netizens Call Out Author Arundhati Roy For Shaming India On International Platform And Labeled Her A Liar

Famously known for her Man Booker Prize-winning book ‘The God of Small Things’ Arundhati Roy is not only an author but activist too. She is often seen sharing views opposing the present ruling party of India, BJP. Besides she actively supports the separatist movement that demands Independence of Kashmir from India. In 2010, she was also charged with sedition along with separatist Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani for her ‘anti-India’ speech.

Recently, she published a non-fiction book named ‘The Ministry of Utmost Happiness’ about present Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During an interview with BBC for promotion of her book, she said that the violence that can be seen in India is terrifying. Further, she added:

‘Today you’re looking at a situation where the Muslim community has been ghettoized, you’re looking at a situation where people are being lynched on the streets.’



Following this, a Twitter user published a video of Arundhati Roy and accused her ‘Blowing fringe incidents out of proportion internationally.’ He further added that she is someone who lies brazenly. Here’s the video:

Undoubtedly, Twitterati was enraged seeing the videos. Within some time, they started calling her out stating that she is a liar who is living a life of illusion. There are also those who launched attacks on her personal life.  This is what they said:
