A lot has happened in the last four months in India. Major highlights were the BJP’s return to India’s most populous state after 15 years and a temple priest becoming its Chief Minister; the never-ending cow debate taking some ugly turns; a Shiv Sena MP getting grounded by the airline companies; the death sentencing of Kulbhshan Jadhav by a military court in Pakistan; CRPF jawans being insulted by a group of pro-jihadi Kashmiri boys; and, the Indian Army using a ‘human shield’ to protect poll officials from stone pelters.
In all these events, India, perhaps, missed Arnab Goswami badly. That man would have raised the right questions.
After leaving Times Now, Goswami announced the launch of his own media venture – Republic. And ever since, the viewers have been waiting to see him silence others into submission.
Now, after four months of wait, the official Twitter handle of Republic posted this promo video:
— Republic (@republic) April 15, 2017
Arnab’s voice is heard saying:
“My dear viewer I have really, really missed you. Through every minute of the last four months, I have been itching to speak directly to you. I have been hearing those on-air who have forgotten all about you. I thought I would let you know that it’s only a matter of time now. I am working day and night with my team to make this dream happen and this dream is for each one of you. I am coming back, I will see you soon.”
Twitterati expressed their joy:

On his show on Times Now, Goswami was the undisputed emperor. The self-proclaimed ‘secular-liberal’ brigade of media persons and a section of the political class were not very fond of Arnab for his immense popularity with the masses, his unbiased arguments that caught many of the guest on his show, especially politicians, off balance, and his completely pro-India and pro-Army stand.
The date of Republic’s arrival has not yet been revealed.
