Sridevi, the very talented and quintessential actress, left the world on February 24, 2018, while she was in Dubai for attending a marriage. Ever since then, the Bollywood has been feeling a void and is gradually coming to terms with the unfortunate and sad demise of the actress.
On April 13, 2018, the awards were announced and Sridevi posthumously won the Best Actress Award for her role in ‘Mom’. However, there were some disputes regarding her work and the award, but her fans welcomed the tribute with full gusto and enthusiasm. The awards ceremony was held on May 3, 2018.
Sridevi’s daughters, Khushi and Janhvi, had a terrible time coming to terms with the death of their mother. It was then their step-brother Arjun Kapoor and step-sister Anshula stepped in to provide comfort and support at such a delicate moment. It is no secret that Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun and daughter Anshula, from his first wife, never shared a cordial relationship with Sridevi, but did come out to shun the media and support the step sisters during their moment of loss.
When Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor invited Arjun and Anshula to join them to receive the National Award for Sridevi’s role in the movie ‘Mom’ at Delhi, Arjun Kapoor refused. Many would think that this could be because of the fact that he never shared a good rapport with the late actress, but the reason was completely different.
A family friend revealed the real reason. He said:
“Arjun and Anshula wanted Janhvi and Khushi to be on their own for this great moment.”
Isn’t Arjun Kapoor the best brother ever? He keeps setting new goals for the men in this country.
