Three days ago, the nation was shocked by the untimely demise of veteran actress Sridevi. She was found dead in her hotel bathtub in Dubai.

As per the death certificate, the cause of her death was mentioned as accidental drowning. The mortal remains of Bollywood actor Sridevi are expected to reach India on February 27, as the family has received her body from the authorities. Sridevi’s funeral will take place in Mumbai on February 28.

However, during this time of crisis, Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor joined his father in Dubai and oversaw the return of Sridevi to India. Two days back he was shooting for Namastey England with Parineeti Chopra in Amritsar, but after hearing the news he rushed to Mumbai and flew to Dubai.

Arjun Kapoor is Boney Kapoor’s son from his first marriage with Mona Shourie. He also has a sister Anshula. It was really hard on both the children when Boney decided to leave Mona and marry Sridevi. During an interview, when asked about how hard it was, he said:

“It’s easy for me to sit here and speak all these years later. Back then, when we were kids, it was difficult. But what can you do? How long will you complain? You have to accept what is, take it on your chin, and move on.”

It is no secret that he had his differences with step-mom Sridevi. However, in this needful time, he is doing what a responsible son would do. He left everything behind to be with his father and is giving him full support.

According to the Kapoor family, Sridevi’s mortal remains will be kept at Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala for people to pay their last respects before it is taken for cremation. “On behalf of Khushi, Jhanvi, Boney Kapoor, the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan families, a sincere thanks to the media for your continued sensitivity and support during this emotional moment,” the statement read.
