Pakistan Can Nuke New Delhi In Five Minutes From Kahuta, Claims Nuclear ‘Thief’ A.Q. Khan

Updated on 10 July, 2016 at 11:05 am By

Nuking India has long being a dream of those in power in Pakistan.

Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, a disgraced so-called Pakistani scientist, has now said that Islamabad can nuke New Delhi in just five minutes from Kahuta in Rawalpindi.

He, however, rued the fact that Pakistan failed to conduct a nuclear test in 1984.

Pakistan was working on a nuclear weapons test in Kahuta at the time. But Khan said that then President Gen Zia ul Haq did not approve of a test out of fear that it would stop military aid from United States and other allies.

Yes, it is that same Kahuta which India had a chance to destroy forever with Israeli help but didn’t because of Morarji Desai.

(And if you read what Desai did, you have every right to be terribly angry with the former PM.)

Pakistan became the first Muslim country with nuclear weapons on May 28, 1998 after the successful test of Chagai I, just a few days after India conducted its second nuclear test, Shakti 1.

Khan was addressing a gathering on the occasion of Youm-i-Takbeer (Pakistan nuclear power state day).

A disgraced scientist in his country, Khan took the opportunity to praise himself:

Khan

Khan was accused by the Musharraf government of a global nuclear proliferation scandal (stealing and selling nuclear plans) in 2004.

In 2004, the United States had provided evidence incriminating Khan for supplying crucial nuclear secrets to foreign countries, especially North Korea. Khan had then admitted to the allegations against him.

He was dismissed from service and put under house arrest. A court in Pakistan declared him a free citizen in 2009 but US continues to label him as a “serious proliferation risk”.

His family finds mention in the recent Panama Papers leak. Four of his relatives have been mentioned as owners of an offshore company in the Bahamas.

Khan AQ

In July 2015, Khan insulted the memory of former Indian President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam by questioning his contribution to India’s missile development programme.
