France is constantly battling with a massive problem with terror attacks and radicalization. During the horrific attack at the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine office in Paris, France in January 2015, 12 people were killed and 11 people were seriously injured. A similar incident took place in France a few days back that has caused a vibe of fear among the civilians.

The incident took place in the town of La Seyne-sur-Mer, outside the Mediterranean port of Toulson. In the incident, two people got severely injured in a supermarket in the town in southern France. The attacker was apparently a woman and according to media reports, she used box cutters to injure the people in the scene. But this is not just the only shocking thing!

According to The Associated Press, the woman was shouting “God is Great” while attacking people in the supermarket. A man got stabbed in the chest during the attack, but fortunately, the wound was not life-threatening as said by the Police. Another victim was a woman who was working at the checkout counter and though not so seriously, she was also wounded by the attacker.

The interesting thing to note here is that as the news went viral on the social media by The Associated Press, netizens brutally slammed the media organization for misleading the readers and spreading fake news. The reason for the backlash by Twitterati is quite unexpected. They are tweeting against the Associated Press saying that the attacker woman was indeed an Arab and shouted “Allahu Akbar” instead of “God is Great!”

The woman was dressed in black with a veil on his face during the attack on the supermarket in France. While she shouted, “Allahu Akbar” which means “God is Great”, people intervened to put her under control before she could hurt anyone else. However, the name of the 24 year-old Arabic woman has not yet been revealed by the police.

Take a look at some of the comments by the netizens slamming The Associated Press:
