India experienced the exhilarating moment of its beauty being crowned at the Miss World recently 17 years after Priyanka Chopra was honored with the crown back in 2000. The new Miss India World, Manushi Chillar has also been titled ‘Beauty With a Purpose’. The proud Haryana girl, who comes from a family of doctor parents aspires to be a doctor and is pursuing studies in medicine and surgery from Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat, Haryana.
Manushi Chillar left behind 118 beauties from all over the world at one of the most renowned international beauty pageant. People feel that it was her most beautiful and heartwarming final answer that made her the winner of millions of hearts across the globe and also the winner of Miss World 2017 title.
Judges asked Manushi which profession deserves the highest salary and why. To this, her reply was,
A mother deserves the highest respect. It’s just not about cash but also the love and respect that you give to someone. My mother has been a huge inspiration. it is the mother’s job that deserves the biggest salary.
Similarly, the other four of top 5 contestants were also asked questions at the Miss World 2017 contest and their answers were as interesting as the questions.
Crowned as first runner up, Miss Mexico, Andrea Meza was asked the most important quality that a Miss World should possess, and her answer was,
It is Love–the love that she has for herself and expresses to the world. Miss World should be someone who can talk to everyone and meet everyone.
Judges asked Stephanie Hill, Miss England, who was second runner up at the pageant, that if she speaks in front of all the leaders of the world, then what will she speak about. Her response to the question was,
If I got such a chance, I would like to address the inconsistency in global healthcare. There are vaccines and medicines available in the world. This crisis can be solved.
Also, there were two beauties who could not make it to the top three but their witty response to the final question deserves a mention. Miss France, Aurore Kichenin was asked what has been the greatest invention of the world and why. In her answer, she said,
The greatest invention in the world is transport. It enables communication with all the countries.
Miss Kenya, Magline Jeruto, who too couldn’t make it to the top three was asked how she would solve the issue of cyber-bullying, one of the greatest problems of the world today. In her response to her final question, said,
Cyber-bullying is one of the major problems in the world today and it should be ended.
