One of India’s leading businessman, Anand Mahindra, recently became a messiah for a cobbler when he saw the cobbler’s creativity via a forwarded WhatsApp message and offered him an investment.
Sharing the cobbler’s story on Twitter, he uploaded a picture which has a middle-aged cobbler sitting at his workshop with a sign that reads – “Zakhmi jooton ka hospital” (Hospital for the injured footwear).
The sign then goes on to identify the man as Dr. Narsiram, mentions the timings of his ‘OPD’ from 9 am till 1 pm, lunch hour from 2 pm and the fact that he uses “German technique” to fix his patients (shoes).
This man should be teaching marketing at the Indian Institute of Management… pic.twitter.com/N70F0ZAnLP

Impressed by his unique marketing skills he wrote that the man should be teaching marketing at the IIM.
Further, he went on to show his appreciation for Dr. Narsiram’s talent and offered to make a small investment in his ‘startup’.
Got it on whatsapp. No clue who or where he is or how old this pic is. If anyone can find him and he’s still doing this work I’d like to make a small investment in his ‘startup’. https://t.co/A8kdJTvAN1

He thus urged others to help him find him so he can make the investment and help him if he can.
While we don’t know if he found the man yet or not, his gesture was soon appreciated by others on Twitter and they poured praise for the cobbler’s creativity and Mahindra’s gesture towards him:
Respect @anandmahindra sir
What creativity by Dr Narsiram
IIMs and IITs should learn from this as most of them are just using other human beings to their way to success ladder and have forgotten creativity.— SURESH AGGARWAL (@SURESHAGGARWAL7) April 21, 2018

This reminds me of U.S. President Lyndon Johnson who loved to tell a story about asking a truck driver who worked at NASA in the 1960s what his job was. The driver’s response: “I’m helping to put a man on the moon.”thanks for sharing this

This only proves the point that you do not need to be an IIM but all that u require is Passion, Common Sense, street smartness

Mr. Mahindra has a great passion for his country and its men. In the past, he once slammed Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak for saying India lacks creativity and had even invited Tesla founder Elon Musk to start making electric cars in India despite the fact that they would have then become his biggest rivals.
