As TY had earlier reported about child actor Rahul Kumar aka ‘Millimeter’ from ‘3 Idiots’ who has turned into a handsome hunk and did several TV shows after his popularity, there’s one more child actor who went onto making her mark in the industry after her Bollywood debut. It’s none other than ‘Tum Bin’ child actor Amrita Prakash, who surely made her presence felt.
The popular film which released in 2001, saw Amrita Prakash playing the character of Amar’s (Raqesh Vashisth) sister Milli. 17 years since the film hit theatres, it’s still remembered for its convincing script and superb acting. We can’t forget this song featuring Priyanshu Chatterjee and Amrita from the film:
The child actor who started her career at the young age of four, was already a popular face and starred as Rajni in the film Vivah (2006).
Amrita Prakash featured among four newcomers trying their best to carve their niche in Bollywood, but she clearly became a household name after ‘Tum Bin’.
But the child actor only bagged the role after she first got noticed at 11 years of age when she bagged her own show Fox Kids on Star Plus.
She also went onto doing several advertisements, like this Pepsi commercial in the 90s:
😂😂😂😂 the shocking things you find when you're looking for something entirely different! My first ever #Pepsi commercial! 😂💙 'Aha'! Presenting, the most swag #90s pose ever. This is how you could tell the cool people apart, from the crowd. 😎 tch, pouting millennials will never know. #Commercial #TVC #Ad #advertisement #advert #PepsiAd #Pepsicommercial #archives #Cola #PepsiCo #Chubs #Dork #90sKid
Not just pepsi, she was also the face of prominent brands like Rasna, Ruffles Lays, Glucon-D, etc. In fact, she was the face of Lifebuoy Soaps for almost two years!
Even though ‘Tum Bin’ featured around four newcomers, it was Amrita who was most successful in making her presence felt.
Oh the incredible treasures you come across when you dig deep- right through all those memories that got buried under…
And now the actress is anything, but recognisable. She’s transformed into quite a diva after making a niche for herself in Bollywood and TV.
Her genuine acting has made her popular in South too. She is currently playing a supporting role in Colors TV’s acclaimed show Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki.
After grabbing everyone’s attention with her first film, she’s out and about in these hot photo shoots. Have a look at some of them, courtesy Instagram:
Happy birthday @pravintalan. May you always have wondrous stories to retell from the past. Wisdom from the many adventures, to impart about the future. Or her pouty look:
The winter baby?
This lacy crop-top look:
Or just hanging out in the dessert:
'When the winds from the East. And the Suns from the West; And the sand in the glass is right. Come on down, stop on by; Hop an #ATV ride, to another Arabian Night. Arabian nights… 'neath Arabian Moons. A fool off his guard, could fall and fall hard.. Out there on the dunes' #Terrain #Desert #DXB #AllTerrainTrucks #ArabianNights #Aladdin #Disney
This one is too glamorous:
The actress who worked with actor Priyanshu Chatterjee in ‘Tum Bin’, recently confessed that she had a crush on him! She said, “I think he was my first crush; it was so cute and innocent. But I was so much in awe of him.”
Thank you for the feature <3 #TheEasternChronicle #TimeOutChronicle
