Amitabh Bachchan has accused Kumar Vishwas of copyright infringement for recreating legendary poet Harishvansh Rai Bachchan’s poem and sent him a legal notice regarding the same.
On his YouTube channel, Kumar Vishwas runs a program ‘Tarpan’ in which he pays tribute to famous Hindi poets. In the series of ‘Tarpan’, Kumar Vishwas had uploaded a video on YouTube in which he could be seen reciting a poem written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, late father of Amitabh Bachchan. Vishwas had even shared this rendition of the poem “Need ka nirman phir phir” by the noted poet on his Twitter handle.
One of the fan club accounts of senior Bachchan tagged him in a tweet asking him to check out the video by Kumar Vishwas. After having a look at the video, Big B called it an infringement of copyright, sent a legal notice to Vishwas for the same and asked him to give an account of the revenue generated from the video.
