Amitabh Bachchan is a true artist in every sense. He keeps his work alive and never lets time age it. Today, he shared rare photos from his comedy classic ‘Bombay To Goa’ on his blog and took everyone on a nostalgic journey.

He starts with speaking his heart out:

They wake you up these thoughts… they that tell you with a gentle whisper… put it all down before it forgets your cranium interiors… another speaks loud and with volume… there is time and time will tell… but does it ever… matters and time change rapidly and swiftly… for me and for all…

It’s 44 years of ‘Bombay to Goa’.

This adventure-comedy film was directed by S. Ramanathan and starred Amitabh Bachchan, Aruna Irani and Mehmood in lead roles with Shatrughan Sinha as the main antagonist.

Well, Big B too once struggled with dancing:

My first attempts at song and dance… with who…? Aruna Irani…!! the master and magician in dance… so accomplished, graceful and rhythmic…! it was embarrassing…

This movie was the remake of Tamil film ‘Madras to Pondicherry’, which starred Nagesh, the legendary comedian. His role was reprised by Mehmood in the Hindi version.

Mehmood was the one who always believed in Amitji’s talent and would address him as Danger Diabolic. Amitji also shared a beautiful relationship with Mehmood’s brother. He writes:

I was with Anwar his younger brother in ‘Saat Hindustani’ and our closeness lasts till today… I stayed with him for long… he stayed with me…

He also shared his shooting experience with director S Ramanathan;

We thought since it is a bus journey, the entire cast being in the bus, we would actually take a bus from Bombay to Goa and keep shooting as we went along… we started from Mehmood bhai’s house in Andheri , now lost in real estate next to where Shoppers Stop is… and as we reached the crossing where now the flyover is… the strong lights inside the bus for shooting purposes were so hot they caught fire…

He also shared some of his most treasured photos. Perhaps, this one is from ‘Anand’.

His offscreen masti with the Yashji while shooting for ‘Zanjeer’.

He also released the poster of his upcoming movie ‘TE3N’.

Well, Amitji, keep sharing your memories with us.
