For the past few weeks, Australian media has been targeting Indian Cricket team captain Virat Kohli for one reason or the other.
While they initially slammed him from talking about Australian Captain Steve Smith’s DRS controversy, they later targeted him for slamming Australian players over his shoulder injury and even went to the extent of calling him “Donald Trump of world sport”.
By calling Kohli – Trump, the media was trying to imply that he is spreading fake news regarding Aussie players, just like Trump does in the US.
Seeing this audacity, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan finally had enough and on March 22 showed his support for Kohli by not only slamming Australian media but also giving them a befitting reply.

In an article on March 21, the Aussie media had criticised Kohli for what they called “unsubstantiated claims” and had even expressed their disappointment that neither the BCCI nor the ICC has taken any action against him.
The article also said,
“VIRAT Kohli has become the Donald Trump of world sport…just like President Trump, Kohli decided to blame the media as a means of trying to hide the egg smeared right across his face.”
