Sleep, the word has a sweet ring to it. Just a mention might make you yawn and question the reasons to toil every day. We would rather sleep than work, but the guilt wouldn’t let us do that. Therefore, the best deal would be to sleep at work. Big B shared a comical incident that happened with him on a film set.

Amitabh Bachchan, 74, during the shoot of ‘102 Not Out’ actually slept on the sets. The scene required him to act as if he is sleeping, however, the utterly busy schedule and a cozy bed took Mr. Bachchan into slumber.

And my sleep was genuine .. they actually had to come and wake me up to tell me that it was over.

In his recent blog post, Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t stop talking about the “rare” experience of sleeping during work and how people on the sets had to wake him up after the scene was over. He explains the phenomenon of sleep in these words,

…that mechanism that has been a constant in us all .. like taking in air to breathe and survive .. and the opportunity of catching up with its loss, on set is a gifted moment in the script .. rare .. but so welcome .. one actually goes to sleep, while the lighting and the action and the scene is being conducted .. such a delight ..

Senior Bachchan is currently swamped with a number of projects. He is working with Rishi Kapoor in ‘102 Not Out’ in which the 74-year-old actor is playing Rishi Kapoor’s father. The much anticipated ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ has also kept him busy as he recently finished shooting some parts of the film along with co-stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in Malta.

The beloved of common people, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is also making a comeback on the small screen. Tossing between the small and the silver screen, stealing a moment or two to sleep is rather good for a senior actor like him.
