Twitter has recently announced that it will be swiping off fake and inactive accounts. The social media platform has started keeping a close eye on those companies who provide paid fake followers. This sudden decision taken by Twitter has affected many but the one who is visibly affected is none other than our very own Bollywood Shahenshah, Amitabh Bachchan.
Here’s what Twitter said about the companies who provide fake followers:
The tactics used by Devumi on our platform and others as described by today’s NYT article violate our policies and are unnacceptable to us. We are working to stop them and any companies like them.

Amitabh Bachchan, who used to have the highest number of followers on Twitter among the Bollywood stars faced a major drop in his number of followers. This made Shah Rukh Khan the most followed Bollywood actor on Twitter.
Big B couldn’t control his anger and expressed it on Twitter claiming that the social media handle has lowered down his followers and he soon will be quitting the platform because of this.
