Remember IAS Amit Kataria? He was in limelight last year when he greeted PM Modi wearing black shades in Bastar.

The honest and uptight IAS officer, Kataria, was served an official notice when he reached out to greet PM Modi wearing black shades in Bastar in 2016.

He is back in the news, but this time for a very good reason.

Known among his peers and juniors as a fearless person, Kataria has been promoted and transferred to New Delhi as Land and Development Officer to oversee land management of Lutyens’ Delhi.


He is known to have brought administrative efficiency and accuracy wherever he has been posted. He has also ensured that the administration works round the clock and brought massive societal and developmental reforms.



Before this charge, he was posted as Collector of Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh. Now, as the top official for development in Delhi, people are sure of his immense success and structural changes that he will bring.
