Someone has rightly said that talent can’t be taught, but it can be awakened!
What the world recently witnessed on the sets of ‘America’s Got Talent’ is beyond human imagination. Try and think of someone who is deaf and still sings like a professional singer. The fact that understanding of notes, tunes, and pitch in music is simply impossible if someone is not able to hear them has been proven wrong by 29-year-old Mandy Harvey, who is deaf and is an exceptional singer and guitarist.
Mandy performed an original song on Tuesday night which reduced the entire audience to tears. Before she began her performance, she introduced herself to judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel with the help of her interpreter.

She explained that years back she completed lost her hearing ability because of a connective tissue disorder. However, she never gave up on singing and accepted it as a challenge.
I’ve been singing since I was 4. I left music after I lost my hearing, and then figured out how to get back into singing with muscle memory, using visual tuners and trusting my pitch.
Then, she pulled out her ukulele and blew everyone away with her song, ‘Try’, which she wrote to inspire herself not to give up on music. As soon as she finished, Cowell, who, it’s worth noting, has never looked happier during an audition, immediately gave her a standing ovation and pushed the coveted Golden Buzzer.
