Indore Woman Got Injured After Falling Off Two-Wheeler As Two Men Tried To Lift Her Skirt

In light of shocking Kathua and Unnao rape cases, the sorry state of women’s safety in our country is exposed yet again. Amidst all this, a Indore-based woman has alleged that two men were trying to pull her skirt while she was driving her scooter, following which she fell down and injured herself.

Aakarshi Sharma, a model-blogger from Indore posted an image of her injured leg with the caption:

“These scars will fade but not the ones on my soul,”

According to media reports, Hari Narayan Chari Mishra the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Indore Police commented that actions will be promptly taken, as soon as, she files a complaint. Here’s what he said:

“We have taken cognizance and we are willing to help. Indore police will come to her aid as soon as she contacts us.”

He further said to ANI:

“Woman had tweeted about the incident & we have tried to contact her. Until now, we have not received any complaint. Police is committed towards taking serious action in regards to incidents of crime against women”
