ABP News Editor Exposes AAP MLA Alka Lamba’s Fake Claims About Bawana By-poll Survey

Delhi’s ruling political outfit, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and its members have managed to make news for their unripe behavior on more than one occasions. This time, Alka Lamba, AAP MLA from Chandni Chowk constituency is the one to make news with a fake tweet.

On Friday, Alka Lamba tweeted a picture of a survey for by-poll in Bawana area of Delhi. The AAP politician, in the picture she tweeted, claimed that according to the survey, AAP leader Ram Chandra is leading in the elections with 48 percent of the total votes, Congress candidate Surendra Kumar was shown in second position with 29 percent votes while BJP candidate Ved Prakash was claimed as being in the last position with 23 percent votes. The image had a reporter pointing towards the results and a logo of ABP news was showing on the top right corner.

With this image, Alka Lamba tweeted that the public of Bawana, in the name of Ram, is voting for AAP and not BJP. However, the picture turned out to be fake and as this news spread on Twitter, Lamba deleted her tweet.

The reality of the picture got revealed when a journalist, blogger, and activist, Pawan Durani, tweeted Milind Khandekar, managing editor of ABP news to know about the reality of the picture tweeted by Alka Lamba. Replying to Durani’s tweet, Khandekar revealed that ABP news hasn’t done any survey for Bawana by-poll in Delhi and that the image is photoshopped.
