Akshay Kumar Is Auctioning His Naval Uniform From ‘Rustom’ For This Important Reason

Akshay Kumar is one Bollywood actor who is known for his fine acting and craftsmanship. He has made a significant contribution to the Indian cinema over the last three decades.


Many of his films have been critically acclaimed. He is popularly known for some of his most iconic roles in films like “Padman”, “Mohra”, “Hera Pheri”, “Sangharsh”, “Airlift” to name a few.


Over the years, Akshay has remained associated with many organisations and has contributed towards many noble causes. This time he has come out in support of the cause of animal rescue and welfare. He has used a different method to engage more people in the imperial cause.



The actor with a golden heart who acted in the film called “Rustom” is now auctioning his naval uniform which he doned in the film.

Explaining the same, Akshay took to his twitter and wrote, “Hi all. I’m thrilled to announce that you can bid to win the actual naval officer uniform I wore in Rustom! Auction’s proceeds will support the cause of animal rescue and welfare.”


He also mentioned a link to the website where people can place their bid. Akshay Kumar’s “Rustom” was directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. The film also featured actresses Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta. The actor also received the National Film Award for the ‘Best Actor’ at the 64th National Film Awards for the same.




These days Akshay is busy in shooting for his upcoming film “Kesari”. He also has two major projects lined up including “2.O” and “Housefull 4”.
