Akshay Kumar is one actor who has done some really meaningful films in the recent past. Be it his role of an intelligence officer in ‘Baby’, his role of Naval officer in ‘Rustom’, his portrayal of Arunachalam Muruganantham in ‘PadMan‘, or his fight for his wife for a toilet in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, Akshay Kumar has won the hearts of millions of Bollywood fans with his work.

The actor is all set to come up with some really good films in the near future as well. This includes ‘Gold’ which is all set for a release on the occasion of Independence Day.

‘Gold’ that marks the debut of television actress Mouni Roy on the big screen is all the more special because it is inspired from the story of Indian Hockey team which won the first gold medal for the country post freedom in 1948.

While Akshay Kumar fans are all excited about ‘Gold’, another news from the actor could make them sad. According to reports, Akshay Kumar has officially announced his exit from ‘Mogul’.

Being co-produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series and Aamir Khan, ‘Mogul’ will be a biopic of Gulshan Kumar. Last year, it was decided that Akshay Kumar will play the lead role in the film. In fact, his look in the film had also been unveiled.

But now, according to fresh reports, Akshay Kumar has walked out of ‘Mogul’ owing to some differences over the script with the makers of the film. When asked about the status of ‘Mogul’, the actor said:

“No, I am not part of it. I am not doing it.”

Filmibeat quotes him further saying:

Script pe humari thodi baat.. (We did not agree on the script)!

However, the actor is excited about another upcoming film ‘2.0’ alongside Rajinikanth. While the film’s release is being postponed for long, it is now confirmed that it will hit the screens on November 29.

Talking more about his upcoming films, Akshay Kumar quashed the reported of being cast opposite Kareena Kapoor in a film by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The reel ‘PadMan’ has also denied being approached for the sequels to ‘Awara Pagal Deewana’, ‘Welcome’ and ‘Hera Pheri’. Do you think this will leave his fans disappointed?
