Following Supreme Court’s order, former chief ministers of Uttar Pradesh were served with notices from the UP Estate Department and were asked to vacate their official bungalows within 15 days and shift to personal accommodations. BSP leader Mayawati played smartly by vacating one bungalow and converting other into a memorial for BSP founder Kanshi Ram. Likewise, Akhilesh Yadav and his father Mulayam Singh too moved into a VVIP guest house just one day before the deadline, but in turn created situations to make netizens laugh our loud.

The first wave of laughter followed when Akhilesh Yadav actually asked the state government for a time period of two years for vacating the government residence. Naturally, the government rejected the plea. Something similar happened for the case of Mayawati whose transformation of a bungalow into memorial didn’t sit well with the UP government or the apex court.

The drama intensified further when a user tweeted a clipping from a local newspaper that accused Akhilesh of ripping off the Italian marbles from the floor of the government bungalow. The clip also alleged that he took the exotic plants and other items too. Here’s the tweet:

This gave rise to a debate between the user and the Samajwadi Party spokesperson Juhie Singh. Here’s how the fight followed:

As expected, others weren’t quiet and started commenting on the same. Read the tweets here:

What’s your take on the whole matter? Can Akhilesh Yadav really do it?
