National Security Adviser Ajit Doval Likely To Attend US President-Elect Donald Trump’s Inauguration

Breaking the norm, National Security Adviser Ajit Kumar Doval will likely attend US President-elect Donald Trump’s ‘inauguration’ on January 20.

“Generally, senior foreign officials don’t visit Washington on such occasions,” Shalabh Kumar, a member of Trump transition team and Chicago-based Indian-origin business tycoon, told Economic Times.

Kumar further revealed that Ajit Doval will attend the function as a ‘special invitee’.

Kumar currently is in India to discuss Indo-US ties in the area of economics under the Trump administration. He addd that  Doval recently visited USA to meet NSA designate Michael Flynn. “It was a fruitful meeting. Doval is expected to attend few events surrounding the inauguration as a special invitee, ” Kumar, also a community organiser for Trump’s campaign, told ET.



When asked when will Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Trump are likely to meet, Kumar said that they would meet in the first year of Trump presidency

Kumar said, “The two leaders would meet in the first year of Trump presidency. Modi and Trump would make a great partnership.”
