Given the fact that most of them are school and college drop-outs, this does not come as a surprise. This majorly proves true for actresses rather than for actors. But these heroines with their high qualifications broke such stereotypes. And even bigger shock is that despite holding good degrees and high-quality education, they chose to be in a field which is considered as a last resort for those who are not well-educated. Ameesha created a huge roar with her debut in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai which went to become a blockbuster. However, not many know that she holds a degree in Economics from the Tufts University at Medford and Bio-Genetic Engineering degree from the Boston University.
2. Kangana Ranaut
She studied at DAV school in Chandigarh and was heading for a medical career. After failing a chemistry test though, she soon realized that medicine was not her cup of tea and took off for her filmy career instead.

Her schooling was completed from Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and later from Welham Girls’ School in Dehradun. She studied commerce for two years from Mithibai College in Mumbai. Following this, she registered for a three-month summer course in microcomputers at Harvard Summer School in the United States which she never pursued. After this, she even enrolled for and completed one year at the Government Law College in Mumbai. After completion of one year in this course though she finally decided to pursue her career as an actress and began training at an acting institute in Mumbai mentored by Kishore Namit Kapoor.
10. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
She pursued architecture for one from Jai Hind college for a year and then switched to some other college to continue the same. But she soon started getting many modeling offers and film assignments and hence left her studies mid-way to join Bollywood full-time.
11. Deepika Padukone
Deepika completed her schooling from Sophia High School in Bangalore post which she completed her pre-university studies at Mount Caramel College. When she plunged into modelling and Bollywood, she was enrolled at the Indira Gandhi Open National University and was pursuing Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology but quit it midway.
12. Priyanka Chopra
PeeCee has done her schooling from Jai Hind College’ Basant Singh Institute of Science, Mumbai. Her schooling was completed from a variety of schools including La Martiniere Girls School in Lucknow, St. Maria Goretti College in Bareilly, Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts, John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids and Lowa Army School in Bareilly.
