Bollywood actress Reema Lagoo passed away at the age of 59 after reportedly suffering from cardiac arrest.
The actress complained of chest pain on Wednesday night, and immediately, she was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. She breathed her last at 3.30 am this morning.
The veteran actress became popular by playing Salman’s mother in ‘Maine Pyar Kiya‘, ‘Saajan‘ and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. Reema Lagoo was also one of the most noted TV actresses. Her serials like ‘Tu Tu Main Main‘ and ‘Shriman Shrimati’ made her a household name.
Her last screen appearance was in the Marathi film ‘Katyar Kaljat Ghusali‘.
She has won four Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress. Reema Lagoo is survived by her daughter Mrunmayee, who is also an actress.
