CID is undoubtedly one of the longest running and most watched TV shows in India. Recently, rumours surrounding the death of “never-going-to-be-promoted” ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam, started making the rounds.
The show is about to complete 19 years of telecast and the news of ACP Pradyuman dying have emotionally hurt the actors.

In the episode, which will air on December 26, 2016, the ACP will suffer a heart attack and die. But the problem is something else.
In the quest for clickbait, many media houses made it look as if Shivaji Satam himself is dead.
Since then friends, fans and relatives have been calling the actor and asking about his health.

Exhausted and bewildered, the actor replied:
“This type of news is really disturbing; honestly this is a very bad phase of my career. The news of my death has created lot of problems for me and my family members. I am getting so many calls and it’s really tiring to answer everyone. In fact, we have not even shot any kind of death scene; those viral pictures are photo shopped. I don’t know who has created this nuisance.”
This is not all. There are rumours of the channel taking the show off air because the actors have supposedly asked for pay hike and the channel has refused to do so.
Bursting this myth, Satnam said:
“None of us have demanded extra pay for the show; neither is planning to quit the show. Personally, I am very happy to be a part of a show which has been running for so many years. I see another 10 years for the show. I just want to retire as an ACP.”
Well, now we know that our favourite serial is happily going to complete 19 years and the ACP and his team will continue to solve crime.
