Samajwadi Party leader and Mulayam Singh Yadav’s close aide, Azam Khan’s son Mohammad Abdullah Azam Khan has been accused of possessing two PAN cards. Abdullah Azam, who has also come under the scanner for reporting incorrect age in his election nomination, is the MLA of Swar constituency.
Aakash Kumar Saxena, the President of Indian Industries Association Rampur and son of ex-minister Shiv Bahadur Saxena, has alleged that Abdullah Azam had given a different PAN in his affidavit to the Election Commission of India and has filed his Income Tax Return with a different PAN.
Saxena has revealed that Abdullah Azam gave his PAN as DWAPK7513R in the affidavit to the ECI whereas his ITR shows his PAN as DFOPK6164K. To this effect, Saxena has also lodged a complaint against Khan with the Income Tax Department and the Election Commission of India.
News18 quotes Aakash Kumar Saxena while speaking to the media at Lucknow Press Club on Wednesday saying,
I have complained to the Income Tax department and Election Commission about Abdullah Azam having two PAN numbers, which is illegal. Former Minister Azam Khan is a liar and has got his son two PAN cards and has also helped him in winning the elections using his post. There should be a case of fraud against Azam Khan and his son Abdullah.
