With just weeks to go before Manipur faces Assemble polls, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP lawmaker Bhagwant Mann has shown support to Irom Sharmila and said that they will donate to her party.
The initiative was started by Aam Aadmi Party’s chief Arvind Kejriwal who on February 18 announced that he would donate Rs 50,000 to rights activist Irom Sharmila who is set to make her political debut with these elections.
I am donating Rs 50,000 as my small contribution to her and appeal to everyone to support her. https://t.co/9uEXT1uMn6

Praising Irom for fighting against the “corrupt system” and “injustice” in Manipur, Maan is said to have donated compensation of nearly Rs. 2, 50,000.

Iron is making her political debut with this election and has formed her own party called People’s Resurgence and Justice Alliance (PRJA).
She took up politics last year to take her fight against AFSPA further. She was also forced to end her 16-year fast due to lack or progress.
