BJP leader Vijender Gupta has lashed out at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and said that the party is only good at holding press conferences and that they must start ‘comedy shows’ to entertain people.
He said the party and Kejriwal are behaving wildly ever since the Anti-corruption branch registered an FIR against Kejriwal for his alleged involvement in the Rs 400 crore water tanker ‘scam’. Gupta said now the AAP is trying to divert people’s attention in between a murder and a letter.
He said they can only mislead and confuse people and their credibility is zero.

“People laugh at them and people listen to them as a mere entertainment, they must start comedy shows and come every day on TV with something new and entertain people,” Gupta said.
“After Delhi Police gave clean chit to Maheish Girri, the case is solved. If you have any doubts, then you should go to court, or file a report in the police station rather than coming on television debates,” he added.
The AAP and BJP have been at loggerheads over the murder of Mohammed Moin Khan, a lawyer and an assistant legal advisor with NDMC.
Khan was shot dead a day before he was scheduled to pass the final order on the lease terms of hotel The Connaught, a four-star hotel, which was functioning on a property leased by the civic body.
The AAP has protested against the killing of Khan and has demanded arrest of Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Maheish Girri and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) vice chairperson Karan Singh Tanwar for the murder of Khan.
The AAP also demanded the resignation of the L-G for a fair probe as the Delhi Police reported to him. L-G Jung has conceded that Bharatiya Janata Party MP, Maheish Girri, had submitted a letter on behalf of Prominent Hotels Limited, owners of The Connaught Hotel that asked the L-G to arbitrate in the conflict between NDMC and the hotel.
“His (Jung’s) role is suspicious in the case. Why had he written to the NDMC, seeking action against Khan? We demand that the L-G be arrested and sacked from his position,” AAP Delhi unit convener Dileep Pandey said.
Girri has repeatedly claimed that he had nothing to do with the hotel owner, Ramesh Kakkar, and that he did not write any letter to the L-G at all.
“How can Mr Girri claim that he had nothing to do with Mr Kakkar’s case in the NDMC? How can he deny his direct involvement in seeking action against MM Khan, who conveniently ended up as a victim of a murder conspiracy?” the party asked.
AAP also condemned the L-G’s ‘repeated’ letters to NDMC in the matter.
Union minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju said the Delhi police is investigating the Khan murder and is making “good progress.”
