With Chauhan’s arrest, total of 12 AAP leaders have now been booked in relation to various criminal cases.
Soni had committed suicide on July 20, a day after fellow party worker Ramesh Bhardwaj, whom she had accused of sexually harassing her, was released on bail.
According to Soni’s family, she was depressed after her Bhardwaj had asked her to “make compromises with her body” to “rise in the party”.
In her suicide note/video, Soni had blamed Bharadwaj for forcing her to take the extreme step and added he was being protected by a local MLA – Chauhan.
Following family’s accusation Delhi Police Crime Branch on July 30 arrested eight people including, Chauhan and a previous investigating officer who was probing Soni’s suicide.
Soon after the arrest, AAP leaders once again cried foul and accused BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of targeting their leaders.
Another AAP MLA arrested.Has Modi gone mad?Has he lost his mental balance? If PM acts with such anger/vengeance then is country safe!

Though Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal didn’t directly accuse PM Modi this time around, he showed his support by re-tweeting many tweets that others had written against BJP.
