No one can deny the fact that Aamir Khan is one of the finest actors in Bollywood and the level of perfection he sets with his performances is truly amazing. The actor after being a part of the industry for 33 years is an institution in himself and has a strong stead in the movie business. The actor was recently at a private screening of Sanjay Dutt biopic ‘Sanju’ and something happened that no one expected.
Halfway through the screening Aamir got super emotional and made a request to director Rajkumar Hirani.
What happened was, the actor asked Hirani to request Sanjay Dutt to come in before the screening ends. Sanjay made it to the screening at Hirani’s request and met with a reaction that left him emotional as well.
An eyewitness at the screening reportedly told a media house this about the whole incident:
“Aamir Khan who has been in the film industry for the past 30 years worked with Sanjay Dutt only once and that was in Hirani’s PK. He was moved by the kind of struggles Sanjay Dutt had gone through as depicted in the film.”
He further added:
“So, after the real Sanju walked in and the film ended, everyone in the auditorium gave him a standing ovation. Sanjay was moved and was almost in tears over the kind of reception he got from his friends in the film industry.”
Soon after the screening, Aamir Khan took to his Twitter account to tweet about the movie, here is the post:
Loved Sanju! Very moving story of a father and son, and of two friends. Ranbir is outstanding and Vicky Kaushal blew my mind! Thank you Raju for yet another film which entertain and enriches.

In a recent interview, Hirani also shared his experience of how Sanjay reacted when he first saw the movie. Here is what he said:
“Before the screening, I suddenly got frightened. We had shown everything and he (Sanjay Dutt) never came to the shoot. I was wondering, what will be his reaction? We might get beaten up too. He was sitting in the seat next to mine. He was watching the film and I was stealthily watching his reactions.”
The director further added:
“It was only when the film ended that he cried and hugged me and Ranbir.”
It seems like the movie was one hell of an emotional experience for all those who were a part of it.
