Hyderabad police have arrested 32 year-old businessman, M Vamshi Krishna, for sending a fake hijack threat email to the Mumbai police on April 15.

The accused had sent a threat email to Mumbai police, which said that six persons were planning to hijack flights leaving from Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai airports.

The task force official said that Vamshi had met a girl online, and the girl demanded to meet him.

Vamshi recently grew close to a Chennai-based woman through Facebook who wanted to go on a fun trip to Mumbai and Goa. She pestered(troubled) Vamshi to book a flight for her to Mumbai on April 16 and asked him to meet her there.

But Vamshi did not have enough money to plan the trip for her and hence, he created a fake flight ticket from Chennai to Mumbai in her name and emailed it to her. At the same time, he sent an email to Mumbai police about the hijack threat, posing himself as a woman. The reason why he did this is bizarre.

According to the police official, “Vamshi wanted to ensure that his girlfriend would not go to the airport”

But seriously, if he really didn’t want to meet her, he could have simply refused to meet her. Right? Why create such a fuck-up?
