With the hands of superstar uncle Aamir Khan, Imran Khan made a smashing entry into Bollywood with the fun film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa. It was a buddy film and Imran Khan was his at his best in it. He is one of the best stars in Bollwood now but his debut was the best among the other films.
8. Kangana Ranaut – Gangster
The queen of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut started her film career with Gangster where she plays the role of an alcoholic in love with two men. She bagged all the awards that year and went on to become one of the finest actors in Bollywood. Gangster was a superhit and so was Kangana. Her latest film Queen rushed into the 100crore club and is the first having a woman in the lead. Now, isn’t that only possible by a superstar?
7. Sonakshi Sinha – Dabangg
She is the daughter of yesteryear superstar Shatrughan Sinha. Sonakshi’s debut film Dabangg alongside Salman Khan was a winner in all sorts. The film was unique, Salman Khan’s character was a maverick and Sonakshi’s role of a village belle – all ensured a superhit movie. The film made her an instant Bollywood favourite and is considered as one of the superstars here at a tender age.

6. Ranveer Singh – Band Baaja Baaraat
Band Baaja Baaraat is among the few movies under the Yash Raj banner, which dared to be different than the usual crop of Bolly rom-coms. Ranveer Singh made his debut opposite Anushka Sharma and both made stellar performances to make the movie a superhit. Ranveer Singh is now a Bollywood star with enviable movies. But the movie that took the star to heights of stardom – his debut Band Baaja Baaraat.
5. Deepika Padukone – Om Shanti Om
The Bollywood diva, who was initially a badminton player and a model started her successful film career with the superhit film Om Shanti Om starring opposite Shar Rukh Khan. The film, although not a critically acclaimed one, was a box-office hit. It was a dream debut for here after being chosen to star opposite the King Khan. With a debut like that, can anyone go wrong with his/her Bollywood career?
4. Shah Rukh Khan – Deewana
The 1992 film Deewana also had an aging Rishi Kapoor alongside Shah Rukh Khan. It also starred the beautiful Divya Bharati. It was a superhit movie and Shah Rukh Khan had grabbed the attention of almost everyone in tinsel town. The film earned him the prestigious Filmfare Award for the Best Actor (debut). There was no looking back for the Baadshah of Bollywood.
3. Aamir Khan – Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak
Aamir Khan made his entry into Bollywood with the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in the year 1988. The film also launched the career of Juhi Chawla, his co-actor. The film by Mr. Perfectionist is now regarded as one of the iconic films ever made in Bollywood. It was a breath of fresh air when Bollywood films had story-lines, which were done-to-death. Aamir’s chocolate hero good-looks, the music and a beautiful Juhi Chawla – all rendered the film a box-office success.
2. Salman Khan – Maine Pyar Kiya
In the year 1989 Bollywood’s original hot-bod made a smashing debut with the film Maine Pyar Kiya. The film was a box-office superhit and it marked the beginning of an illustrious film career of Salman Khan. He had also got a Filmfare Award for the portrayal of his character Prem in the film. Salman was as charming as can be.
1. Hrithik Roshan – Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai
Hrithik Roshan with his Greek-God like looks stormed into the silver screen with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, a film directed by his father Rakesh Roshan. Looks-wise and height-wise he was way different from the Khans in the industry and he sure did make a mark with his looks and talent. The film, released in the year 2000, was a major box-office success and put Hrithik Roshan in the big league.
