He’s the second Bengali to bag the Nobel Prize. An economist, educationist and internationally famous personality, Amartya Sen is a Bengali at heart. Born and brought up in Shantiniketan, his family has had the effect of the bard, Rabindranath Tagore. Currently a professor in the US, he has several books to his credit. This Nobel Laureate is one of the most sought after persons in the world right now.

Students of English literature are surely aware of this lady. She is the most influential person at the moment in matters of theoretical literature and philosophy.
