Life is unfair and this is the bitter truth. It can shock you in ways, that you can’t even dream of. A very unfortunate incident happened in Delhi on this Saturday afternoon, where a mother lost her twins after she left them home alone.
The mother went out to buy washing powder and left her kids, Laksh and Neeshu, near the bathroom. She returned back home after six minutes and couldn’t find her children.
She immediately called her husband Ravinder, who works with an insurance company. He rushed to the house and joined the search in other apartments.
After 30 minutes, they found the boys, with their heads down in the tumbler of their washing machine.
Instantly, they pulled them out of the tumbler and rushed them to a nearby private hospital, where the boys were declared dead. Later, they took them to the Jaipur Golden Hospital, Rohini, where doctors confirmed death due to drowning.
The mother told the police,
I had piled up clothes near the washing machine -a top-loading, semi-automatic model -filled it with water and gone to a grocery store nearby to buy washing powder. The door of the flat had not been locked.

“We found 12-15 litres of water in the washing machine. Though the family does not suspect any foul play, a probe has been initiated,” said M N Tiwari, DCP, Rohini.
The evidence suggests that the children might have climbed on a bucket beside the washing machine and tried to peep into the tumbler, and the bucket might have slipped due to which they fell head down into the water.
