1. Margarita, with a Straw

2. Raincoat



A Rituparno Ghosh directorial, Raincoat, is a drama film which focuses on two lovers Neeru and Mannu, who reunite after a decade. Again, if you love drama films like we do, then you must not miss watching this movie. The film starring Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgn was released on December 24, 2004.


3. Samay: When Time Strikes



Those who are in for a thrilling experience must watch ‘Samay: When Time Strikes.’ In this film, Sushmita Sen can be seen portraying the role of ACP Malvika Chauhan. The movie is directed by Robby Grewal and was released on October 10, 2003.


4. Haasil 



If you have a political mind and can understand the intricacies of student politics then you must watch Haasil. The plot revolves around student politics in Uttar Pradesh’s Allahabad and how it becomes severe in the offing. The movie directed by  Tigmanshu Dhulia which starred Jimmy Sheirgill Hrishita Bhatt and Irrfan Khan was released on May 16, 2003.


5. 15 Park Avenue



Directed by Aparna Sen, the movie revolves around the life of Meethi (portrayed by Konkona Sen Sharma). In the movie, Meethi suffers from Schizophrenia. The movie is great for thriller lovers. The film was released on January 6, 2006.


6. Ankhon Dekhi



Directed by Rajat Kapoor, Ankhon Dekhi stars Sanjay Mishra, Rajat Kapoor and Seema Pahwa. It is a must watch underrated bollywood movie because of its somewhat different storyline. The plot is interesting and that’s exactly why it caught the attention of the critics. The film was released on March 21, 2014.


7. Ugly



We all know about Anurag Kashyap’s love for mystery and thriller. And for any Bollywood movie lover, Ugly, is a must watch. The film which was released in 2014 was much appreciated by the critics. The film stars Rahul Bhat
Ronit Roy, Surveen Chawla and Siddhanth Kapoor.


8. Dasvidaniya



A must watch for all the comedy drama lovers out there, Dasvidaniya is a must watch. The story revolves around a man named Amar Kaul (portrayed by Vinay Pathak) and his bucket list of 10 things which he decides to do before his death, when he is diagnosed with stomach cancer. The film which released on November 7, 2008, also bagged good critical acclaim.


9. Shor in the City



Shor in the City stars Tusshar Kapoor, Nikhil Dwivedi, and Radhika Apte. The film is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. If you love crime and drama then go fetch some pop corns because you are going to love this movie. The film was released on April 29, 2011 in India.


10. Firaaq 



A  Nandita Das directorial, Firaaq which released in March 20, 2009, in India is a film which traces the story of several people after the 2002 violence in Gujarat. The movie starring  Naseeruddin Shah, Sanjay Suri, Paresh Rawal
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tisca Chopra has also bagged favorable critical acclaim.
