Water parks are so fun with adventurous and fun-filled slides and rides to enjoy with near and dear ones. We all love riding the water slides. It is indeed the best way to beat the heat on a hot summer day.
But unfortunately, these water slides can be extremely dangerous in opposition to the thrill they provide. Notably, many cases have been registered against world popular water slides for being responsible for people’s miseries. Many of them have been banned because of their hazardous construction.

1. Steamer Slide, Calypso Water Park, Canada
Slammed with over 20 charges of safety violations in 2015, Steamer slide was the reason behind several injuries of the riders. It was immediately banned and had to be shut down by the water park.
2. AquaSphere, PARC, Australia
AquaSphere water slide at the Peninsula Aquatic Recreational Centre was given the axe in 2016 due to repeated injuries to swimmers. It was dismantled to make way for a new raft water slide.
3. Shoot the Rapids, Cedar Point, Ohio
Shoot the Rapids was a massive water slide that used a raft on which 10 people rode at the same time. This resulted in some major accidental incidents in the history. It was later banned from use.
4. Black Hole Water Slide, Wet n Wild Water Park, Orlando
One of the most infamous water slides, Black Hole has been the victim of several lawsuits filed by the people who faced injuries in this deathtrap.

5. Insano Water Slide, Beach Park, Brazil
One of the world’s tallest and scariest water slide, Insano is a Guinness World Record holder. It was as tall as a 14-storey building (135-feet tall)so there had to be severe cases of injuries.

People have filed complaints against the Sahara Sidewinders water slide after being insanely injured while riding this slide. It had to be later closed down by the resort.

8. Fort Rapids Indoor Water Park
Water slides inside the Fort Rapids Water Park were closed down in February 2016 due to history of health and security violations.
9. Geronimo Falls, Action Park, New Jersey
The infamous water slide was banned from use after several people were injured and died because of lack of safety precautions at the water slide.
10. Cannonball loop, Action Park, New Jersey
The Cannonball loop water slide was shut down after just one month of operation because it lacked safety measures. It was inefficiently designed and was constructed with a hatch at the bottom of the loop and people usually got stuck in it.
