The Wait Is Over – The X Files Will Defintely Be Back On TV

After years and years of speculations, the fact has finally been confirmed – the hit show will be back on the air with the original cast. The series ended in 2002, which means that it will resume the story-line after 13 years.

Though David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have done other work since then, for the cult series fans, they will always be Mulder and Scully.

The last movie of the franchise was released in 2008 and there has been nothing new for the show’s fans since then. Still the popularity of X Files has endured. What is great news for the fans is that Mulder and Scully will be played by the same actors.

The show’s creator, Chris Carter, said, “The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.”

The show ran from 1993 to 2002 and had 9 seasons. The franchise also released 2 movies – one in 1998 and the other in 2008.

The filming of the show will start towards the end of the year and it will be aired in the season after that; hopefully, not only in the US but around the world.
