Shaha, who has now become India’s regular wicket-keeper during the Test matches, has always been in the shadows due to MS Dhoni’s amazing career and records with the Indian team.

But since Captain Dhoni’s retirement from Test Cricket in 2014, Saha is now not only a regular member of the team in Test Cricket but his potential behind the wicket has time and again proved that Dhoni’s keeping legacy is in good hands.

Proving that once again, Saha on November 18, took a blinder of a wicket, which broke the partnership between England’s Haseeb Hameed and Joe Root.

Here is what happened,

England’s Joe Root clipped the ball through the square leg and quickly taken a run,

He had then called for the second run but then bailed out mid-way with Hameed halfway down the pitch.

Meanwhile, India’s Jayant Yadav had chased down the ball and in a jiffy thrown it at the batter’s end.

Saha then took centre-stage, as he collected the ball in front of the wicket…

… and quickly back-flicked it onto the stumps.

This piece of masterpiece and street-smartness is generally associated with his predecessor MS Dhoni, who few weeks ago had dismissed a New Zeland player during an ODI match in a similar manner.
