Wrestling Federation Comes In Support Of Narsingh, Says He Is A Victim Of Sabotage

A day after Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav failed his dope test, India’s wrestling federation – WFI – has come out in support of the wrestler, and said he is being framed.

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhusan Saran Singh further demanded for a CBI probe as they felt a great “injustice” was being done to Yadav.

Yadav recently tested positive for a banned anabolic steroid and is set to appear before a National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) panel soon.

Denying the charges Yadav said:

Yadav was part India’s contingent for the upcoming Rio Olympics and was one of India’s leading medal contender for the Olympics.

Yadav has also alleged that he is a victim of sabotage, and that his food and water must have been contaminated at an ongoing training camp.

He then went on to say

Agreeing with Narsingh’s point of view, WFI also pointed out that even Yadav’s roommate, has tested positive for the same banned substance.
