The 35-year-old man was waiting in the line of a bank in Nasik’s Trimbak Road area when he was spotted by a 23-year-old woman, who was allegedly his ex-lover, and whom he had jilted by walking out on her around four years ago.

It was anything but a happy reunion for the couple as the woman, upon spotting him, decided to settle old scores and immediately called her brother and father to the spot.

The girl’s family, on arrival, proceeded to thrash the man that too in full view of the public and bank staffers who were present there.

The Nasik police have confirmed the incident and said that they have registered a case against the man on the girl’s complaint, who said that they were very close till he had ditched her and were not in contact since then.

The woman said that she had gone to the bank to exchange old high denomination notes when she spotted her ex in the same queue.

The man, who was badly bruised, was sent to the civil hospital after being brought to the police station and being questioned.

He would surely never forget this experience as he has now been booked under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
