Rio Olympics: Vijay Goel Rejects Allegations Of Misbehavior, Says Nothing Of The Sort Has Happened

Union sports minister Vijay Goel on August 12 rejected allegations of misbehaviour that have been levelled against him and his entourage and said that nothing of that sort has happened.


On August 10, there were reports of Goel and his companions misbehaving at Rio Olympics, with the issue being so bad that Continental Manager for Rio 2016 Organising Committee Sarah Peterson, even sent out a letter against Goel.

Peterson, in her letter reportedly threatened to cancel Goel’s accreditation on grounds that his companions were misbehaving.


Responding to the news Goel, who is currently in Rio, said:



He even sent out two tweets regarding the issue and said there has been a misunderstanding as language is the main issue in Rio.
