Not so unexpected, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt won the final of Rio Olympics’ 200-metre by defeating Canada’s Andre De Grasse.
He completed his race in 19.78 seconds while Grasse finished it in 20.02 seconds.
This was Bolt’s third straight Olympic title in the event, after Beijing and London. Also, this was his 100th victory.
His career gold medal tally comes to eight now.
After the win, Bolt announced that this was his last individual race at the Olympics ahead of his retirement next year.
“I don’t need to prove anything else. What else can I do to prove to the world I am the greatest?” said Bolt.
